My journey of IT started in 2000 whereby I completed a diploma in PC Engineering. After my year of studies, I was employed by Zulucom, a company based in Empangeni, which then allowed me to quickly move up the IT ladder and become an IT manager and manage a staff compliment of 7 people. I then moved into a much larger corporate environment and worked for Mondi Business Paper on their support team. We managed a total of 2500 Users globally and this was a real awakening into the IT world of technology. Our direct local site was around 300-400 users. I did excel in this company, involved in many projects, new system implementations and a vast range of knowledge acquired.
After a 3,5 year employment run with Mondi, I moved onto BHP Billiton as a SAP Support Helpdesk Engineer. My time at BHP was valuable and I gained much experience. I then decided to take on a more senior role back in a smaller company, Philco Systems and Automation. I have had experience in both the PLC Automation and IT Systems environment. After my time of employment there, I decided to move down to Cape Town in which I worked for a medium sized IT company, Complete IT Services. I was with the company for a period of 4 years and after much consideration, decided to branch out on my own, thus forming my company Calefra IT Services.
This is a family owned business with a branch in Natal, which heads up Signage and Printing services too. I have been involved in IT for a total of 25 Years and have gained much experience with the different platforms and environments I have worked in.
I have been exposed to many products and Systems, which I most certainly can guarantee that I will add a beneficial amount of input into assisting with your IT requirements. I look forward to being of service to you.
